Breast Care at RWJUH

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, in partnership with Rutgers Cancer Institute, is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in New Jersey. The center provides advanced services such as mammograms, 3D mammography, genetic testing, surgery by specialized surgeons, clinical trials, and radiation treatments like proton therapy.

RWJUH’s Breast Care Connection offers a welcoming environment for patients. It features bilingual health coordinators, breast health navigators, and a focus on personal care and support. The program helps guide patients through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

In 2023, the American College of Surgeons re-accredited the Breast Care Connection through the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. This confirms the center’s dedication to excellent, patient-focused care. Patients also gain access to extra services like support groups, rehab, and information on new treatments.
