Learning the Basics of Pickleball
This sports activity will be held in the TRC Gymnasium West at the Tumbleweed Recreation Center, located at 745 East Germann Road, Chandler, Arizona, 85286. The class focuses on teaching new players the rules, how to keep score, and the key shots used in pickleball.
The program uses small group instruction and easy skill drills to help players learn step-by-step. It also emphasizes safety, proper court behavior, and how to keep the ball in play during a match.
Class Goals and Instructor Support
Instructor Kevin Simpson will guide participants through basic movements while helping them improve hand–eye coordination. As the weeks go on, players will build confidence and be able to join in casual games.
The goal is to prepare beginners for recreational-level play in a fun and safe environment. No prior experience is needed.
