Helios Pickleball Center Launch: Robinsons Land Corporation is building Asia’s first tournament-level pickleball center in Pasig City. Called the Helios Pickleball Center, the facility will open in 2027 and marks the first project under the company’s new sports and recreation division.
The Helios Pickleball Center will be located inside the Bridgetowne Destination Estate. It is a joint project between Robinsons Land Corporation and Kosmas Athletic Ventures Corporation. The eight-story building will have 25 professional courts, including a stadium-style court that meets global standards.
Launch of Robinsons SER
The project also marks the start of Robinsons Sports, Entertainment, and Recreation (SER), a new unit focused on sports and wellness.
Robinsons Land Corporation President and Chief Executive Officer, Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio said
“With the launch of Robinsons Sports, Entertainment, and Recreation, we are expanding into new spaces that complement Robinsons Land’s recognized strengths—especially our malls that serve Filipino communities nationwide and our growing Destination Estates like Bridgetowne,” Helios is just the beginning.”
GoBio added,
“The project reflects RLC’s vision to support the rising popularity of pickleball while creating accessible, world-class venues that promote active lifestyles and national pride through sport.”
World-Class Features
The 17,500-square-meter facility will include a gym, a sports clinic, restaurants, and basement parking. It is expected to attract both local and international events, possibly becoming a venue for the Professional Pickleball Association Tour.
Helios will also use a digital booking system called PodPlay, allowing anyone to reserve and play on the courts.
RLC Chairman Lance Y. Gokongwei and representatives from the Professional Pickleball Association and Major League Pickleball are expected to attend the groundbreaking ceremony.
Fast-Growing Global Sport
Pickleball has become one of the fastest-growing sports globally. In the United States alone, the number of players jumped from 8.9 million in 2022 to nearly 20 million in 2024.
Its easy rules and appeal to people of all ages have helped it grow quickly. The sport is also working towards being included in the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.
By investing in this new center, Robinsons Land Corporation is helping bring this international sport closer to home, while promoting health, wellness, and community among Filipinos.
