From Tennis Prodigy to Pickleball Star: How Marcin Rozpedski Reinvented His Game and Inspired a New Generation

Marcin Rozpedski Pickleball Journey: Marcin Rozpedski, a longtime tennis coach and owner of the Rozpedski Tennis Academy, is also a professional pickleball player. With 25 years of coaching experience, he has worked with top athletes and helped young players grow both on and off the court. Now, he’s also making waves in pickleball.

A Lifetime in Tennis

Marcin Rozpedski began playing tennis at age six after attending a camp in Warsaw, Poland.

“When I was six years old, my mom sent me to a camp in Warsaw, a tennis camp, and it was history from there,” said Marcin Rozpedski.

He went on to coach professional players, including former BNP Paribas Open champions Ana Ivanovic and Victoria Azarenka. Despite his success, Rozpedski says coaching means more than just winning.

“We are not only coaches, we are teaching them life,” he said.
“So if I can show them how to be a good human being, how to be a good man, that’s most important to me.”

His son, Chance Rozpedski, said the impact goes beyond the court.

“Well, he definitely helped my character a lot,” said Chance Rozpedski.
“He helped me become a better person, and through that, he helped me become a better tennis player as well.”

A Second Career in Pickleball

Though tennis remains his first love, Marcin Rozpedski has also found a new passion in pickleball. Coming from tennis, the transition was smooth for him.

“I loved it the very first day,” said Marcin Rozpedski.
I love the feeling of social, being all together on this one pickleball court. It’s fairly easy to learn coming from tennis, and then obviously I became pretty good. I love the game, I love my friends playing, and then it’s history.”

Rozpedski didn’t expect to travel and compete in pickleball, but now it’s a major part of his life.

The void is being filled with pickleball, but I never thought of traveling and getting paid and being a professional pickleball player ever in my wildest dreams,” he said.

A Lasting Impact

From coaching top tennis players to growing his own academy and now playing professional pickleball, Marcin Rozpedski has built a life around sport. He inspires young players and proves that it’s never too late to follow a new path.
