Who Will Triumph? Summer Mixed Doubles Pickleball Showdown Heats Up Westwood This August

Summer Mixed Doubles Pickleball Championship: Pickleball players with a DUPR rating between 3.5 and 3.99 will compete in the Summer Mixed Doubles Championship on August 8, 2025, at Life Time Westwood, located at 44 Harvard Street, Westwood, Massachusetts. The event includes a trophy for the winning team and features round-robin play followed by playoffs.

Event Format and Skill Eligibility

The tournament is open to players whose DUPR ratings fall between 3.5 and 4.039. All competitors must have a DUPR profile before the event. Tournament officials will check and verify DUPR scores prior to the start. Players with a DUPR rating of 4.04 or higher will not be allowed to enter.

“We reserve the right to move players to the correct skill bracket if their verified DUPR rating is higher than the bracket skill range,” according to event organizers. “Anyone with DUPR of 4.04 or higher will be denied entry.”

All matches will be submitted to DUPR after the event to ensure updated and accurate player ratings.

Registration and Tournament Information

The registration fee for the event is $50. Players must register by August 7, 2025, at 8:00 PM EST. Late entries will not be accepted, and entries are only confirmed once payment is complete. The competition format includes a round-robin schedule followed by a playoff round.

Winners of the championship will be awarded a trophy to recognize their achievement in the mixed doubles division.

Refund Policy and Additional Notes

Refunds are subject to the judgment of the tournament director. Players who do not show up on the event day will not receive refunds. Additionally, third-party fees—such as processing or registration costs—will not be reimbursed under any circumstances.

“All refunds are under the discretion of the tournament director. No Shows will not be refunded,” the organizers stated. “3rd party fees will not be refunded (merchant processing fee & player registration fee through Pickleball Brackets).”

Competitive Spirit and Fair Play

By capping the maximum DUPR rating at 4.039 and checking ratings in advance, the tournament aims to maintain fairness in competition. This ensures balanced matchups where players compete against others of similar skill levels.

The event also encourages new and improving players to test their abilities in a structured, competitive, and respectful setting while gaining accurate performance feedback through DUPR.
