Advanced Beginner Plus Pickleball Program: An “Advanced Beginner Plus” pickleball program for adults will run every Tuesday from October 14 to November 11 at the North Creek Pickleball Courts in Montgomery Village, Maryland. Classes will be held from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm and led by PPR-certified instructor Karl Van Neste.
Skills and Focus
The course is designed to help players strengthen basic skills such as strokes, serves, dinks, footwork, and understanding the rules. Karl Van Neste will use a mix of drills and doubles play to improve technique and confidence on the court.
About Pickleball
Pickleball is a paddle sport that blends elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Players use solid paddles to hit a perforated plastic ball over a net, either in singles or doubles matches. Equipment, including balls and paddles, will be provided during the sessions.
Location and Access
The program will take place at the North Creek Community Center’s pickleball courts, located at 20125 Arrowhead Road, Montgomery Village, Maryland, 20886. It is open to adults of all ages who meet the skill level requirements.
Building Community Through Sport
Organizers say the program aims to help newer players gain more confidence while connecting with other members of the community through the sport. Participants will have opportunities to practice in a supportive and active environment.
