In a thrilling final, he defeated his brother, Ashish Khanna, 15-9, showcasing skill and determination in a close match.

The final was a duel between two siblings. Aditya Khanna, an alumnus of the University of Oxford, displayed excellent technique and composure, winning the match despite Ashish Khanna’s strong start. Ashish Khanna, an alumnus of Imperial University, initially led 4-1, but Aditya’s precise passing shots turned the game in his favor.

Players Reflect on the Match
Aditya Khanna said,
In pickleball, we have had a few competitions against each other, and last time he won the final at an alumni event. This time, I was on the lucky side to win. As long as he does not take his best back home, I think it is fine.”
Ashish Khanna added,
“I was trying to keep the ball as low as possible, making it skip and stay down. But he came up with a few really good passing shots that turned the match around. I was up 4-1, and then he hit these fancy winners which I wasn’t expecting.”
“He ran and flipped a couple of balls that were phenomenal – running, curving the ball all the way down for the passing shot. I tried hard, I tried to use the surface, which is weak, and keep the ball low and fast,” (Ashish Khanna).
