Tournament Details
This pickleball tournament will feature several skill brackets, including 3.0 and under, 3.5 and under, and 3.5 and above. Age brackets are divided into players aged 49 and below and 50 and above. These categories will be adjusted on October 10, 2024, to ensure fair competition.
The event will be played on six outdoor courts with permanent nets. Players must register with both partners paying the fee and signing waivers. The tournament will use the Diadem Power Pickleball, the official ball of the YMCA of Delaware.
Game Format and Rules
The primary format will be double elimination, with games played best 2 out of 3, win by 2. Consolation games will be one game to 15, win by 2. If a survivor bracket team wins 2 out of 3 in the Gold Medal match, an additional game will be played for 15 points.
Brackets with fewer than four teams will use a round-robin format. Players are encouraged to check in by 7:30 AM for an 8:00 AM start. Bracket schedules and player information will be available a few days before the event on pickleballbrackets.com.
