The Polo Club Pickleball Charity Championship will be held on March 15 and March 16, 2025, at Trilogy at the Polo Club in Indio, California. This pickleball event will feature men’s and women’s doubles on March 15, followed by mixed doubles on March 16. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit cancer research and local cancer care assistance through charity partners Pelotonia and Desert Cancer Foundation.
Tournament Details
The tournament will include three skill levels: 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 and above. Age brackets will range from 19-49, 50-64, and 65+. Ratings will be self-assigned, but a review of ratings against DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) scores will ensure fairness. The tournament director reserves the right to combine brackets if registration numbers require it.
If a bracket is full, participants are encouraged to sign up for the waitlist. The tournament will do its best to accommodate all players.
Charity Partners
The tournament is supporting two major charities. Pelotonia, a cancer research organization, has raised over $309 million since its founding in 2008. The funds directly support cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. Desert Cancer Foundation, based in California, helps local residents pay for cancer care. Since 1994, the foundation has provided nearly $112 million in cancer treatment for more than 8,800 residents.
Registration and Refund Policy
Registration for the tournament opens on December 24, 2024, and closes on March 1, 2025. The entry fee is $70, and players can sign up for the event online. The tournament has a no-refund policy, as withdrawals will be considered charitable donations. Due to the lack of a rain date, the event will proceed as planned regardless of weather conditions.
Venue Information
This pickleball tournament will take place at Trilogy at the Polo Club, which features 8 permanent and 6 portable pickleball courts. Parking is free for all participants and attendees.
