Belleville Expands Pickleball Courts: Belleville is set to make significant improvements to its parks, including adding more pickleball courts, enhancing the splash pad, and upgrading parking and walking trails. The city has already authorized over $1 million in improvements.

Expanding Pickleball Facilities

Belleville recently converted the tennis courts at Bellevue Park into four pickleball courts due to the growing popularity of the sport. The courts have become so popular that players often have to wait for a turn.

Plans for Improvement

The first step for Pleasant Hill Park’s upgrade is the design work, for which the city has awarded a contract worth $15,600 to Gonzales.

This design work will lay the foundation for the improvements, which aim to provide more space and convenience for visitors.

Impact of the Changes

The expansion of pickleball courts at both parks will help accommodate the growing interest in the sport. With more courts available, players will face less wait time and be able to enjoy the game more easily.

The improvements to the splash pad, parking, and walking trail will make the parks more enjoyable for families and individuals of all ages.
