Kiwanis Club Hosts Pickleball Shootout: The Kiwanis Club of Independence will host its annual Pickleball Shootout on February 15-16, 2025, at the Independence Field House. The tournament aims to raise funds for the Kiwanis’ mission of improving the lives of children and communities.
Event Details
The tournament will take place on 16 courts at the Independence Field House, located at 6361 Selig Drive, Independence, Ohio. Registration opens on November 1, 2024, and closes on February 10, 2025.
The registration fee is $50 per person, covering one event. For an additional $25, participants can join Men’s or Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
The competition on February 15 will feature Men’s and Women’s Doubles events, with skill levels ranging from 3.0 to 4.0 and above.
On February 16, Mixed Doubles will take place, with the same skill levels. The tournament will follow a round robin format, ensuring plenty of play for participants.
Supporting a Worthy Cause
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Kiwanis Club of Independence, supporting its efforts to help children and communities. The Kiwanis motto, “Improving the World One Child and One Community at a Time,” drives the organization’s charitable mission.

Tournament Rules and Refund Policy
The tournament is open to players of all skill levels. Participants are encouraged to register early as placement in brackets is based on full payment. Refunds are available until February 1, 2025, with a $5 withdrawal fee.
No refunds will be issued after registration closes on February 10, 2025. Coolers are permitted in designated areas, but not on the courts. The event promises a fun and competitive environment while contributing to a great cause.
