An advanced pickleball class, “Pickleball 102 Supervised Practice Class,” will take place from March 7 to March 21, 2025. Pickleball classes will be held every Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Chesterfield Technical Center – Hull. This course is designed for players who have already completed “Pickleball Beginner 101” and want to improve their game.
Eligibility and Requirements
This class is not for beginners. Participants must have a basic understanding of pickleball before registering. Those who have been playing pickleball for at least six months may receive an exemption if they have the instructor’s permission prior to registration.
The first class will focus entirely on “The Short Game.” The second session will cover “The Full Court Game,” while the third class will teach “Strategy for Winning Each Point.” The goal is to prepare players for Beginner/Advanced Beginner Leagues and Open Play.
What to Bring and Safety Guidelines
Participants are encouraged to wear eye protection, including regular eyeglasses, sunglasses, or safety glasses. Court shoes suitable for tennis, pickleball, or volleyball are required, and sunscreen is recommended.
The instructor, Linda Scott, will provide paddles and pickleballs, ensuring that all participants have the necessary equipment for practice.
Scheduled Rain Date
A rain date is set for Saturday, March 29, in case of inclement weather. This allows players to complete the course without interruption.
Linda Scott emphasizes the importance of this class for advancing skills.
“This program is about getting players ready for competitive play,”. “Participants will learn key strategies to enhance their performance on the court.”(Linda Scott)
This advanced class is expected to cultivate a stronger pickleball community in Chesterfield and help players become more confident and skilled.
