“The majority of interest was almost entirely for pickleball. It definitely reflects the new interest surge in the country, and ownership was aware of that. We not only heard from people that we didn’t expect to, but we specifically listed and contacted a whole variety of tennis and pickleball facilities throughout the mid-Atlantic,” (Principal Gil Neuman).
Bounce Pickleball aims to complete renovations of the tennis courts by February, enabling the region to embrace the game further.
Australian Open to Host Pickleball Slam
Fans of the sport are also looking forward to the Australian Open 2025, which will feature the AO Pickleball Slam. Scheduled to take place at Melbourne Park’s Court 3 from January 24 to 26, the event will introduce pickleball to a global audience.
