Presque Isle Pickleball’s Doubles Tournament: The pickleball craze continues to grow as the community kicks off the new year with a doubles tournament on Saturday at Presque Isle Pickleball on McClelland Avenue. Intermediate and advanced players competed for medals and bragging rights in an exciting event that welcomed participants of all skill levels.

Inclusive Competition for All Skill Levels

This pickleball tournament had no age requirements, allowing players to compete based on their skill level. This inclusive approach ensured that both beginners and seasoned pros could join in the fun. Porscha Tresler, the Director of Operations, shared details on the ranking system used for the event.

“So technically, you should be a 4.0 plus rating in order to be in the advanced. And what we did for our intermediate is 3.0 to 3.9 and then for beginner we did anywhere from you just played your first game to the 2.9 level,”(Porscha Tresler).

Excitement in the Air

The atmosphere was filled with excitement as participants showcased their skills and strategies on the court. The tournament format encouraged teamwork and sportsmanship, making it a memorable experience for all involved.
