Pickle Madness Tournament to Change the Mississippi Delta Forever

Delta Pickleball Inc. (DPI) will hold the Pickle Madness tournament from March 28-30, 2025, at Governors Court in Cleveland, Mississippi. The event aims to raise funds with all proceeds supporting local programs and equipment purchases.

Tournament Schedule and Events

The pickleball tournament will feature various events over three days. On March 28, Men’s and Women’s Singles will kick off the competition. Men’s and Women’s Doubles will take place on March 29, followed by Mixed Doubles on March 30.

Each event will follow a round-robin format, with pool play if enough teams participate. Players should check in at least 30 minutes before their event’s start time.

Skill and Age Brackets

Pickle Madness will offer a range of skill and age brackets to accommodate players of all levels. The skill brackets will be divided into: 3.0 and below, 3.0-3.5, 3.5-4.0, 4.0-4.5, and 4.5+.

Age brackets will include 12-34, 35-54, and 55+. A minimum of five teams is required for each major division. If there are ten or more teams in a bracket, it will be split into two flights, with the top two teams from each flight facing off to determine the medalists.

Tournament Extras and Raffles

Players will receive a swag bag upon check-in, which includes a towel and other goodies. Each entry will also receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes such as pickleball paddles. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase during the tournament.

Refund and Registration Details

The registration cost for the tournament is $60. Players can sign up until March 23, 2025, at noon. However, refunds are only available until March 14, as expenses for the tournament will have been incurred by that time.

Weather Plans and Venue Information

In case of bad weather, indoor courts at Governors Court will be used to ensure the tournament continues. The venue is located at 1003 West Sunflower Road in Cleveland, Mississippi, with no parking fees.
