Ripley to Welcome New Pickleball Courts: The City of Ripley is set to enhance its recreational offerings with the addition of new pickleball courts in 2025. City officials announced that construction will begin this summer at the Fred and Elizabeth Smith Sportsplex.

New Pickleball Facilities Coming Soon

Although the old tennis courts next to Ripley High School will be replaced with basketball courts, pickleball enthusiasts will still have new facilities to look forward to. The new pickleball courts will be constructed alongside tennis courts at the sportsplex.

“They will be located on the north side of the recreation building. There is no official timeline, but we’re shooting to have them done before the end of summer.” – (Mayor Jon Grisham)

These plans reflect the city’s commitment to expanding recreational activities for residents. Grisham expressed enthusiasm for the new developments.
