Pickleball Comes to the St. Pete Pier: St. Pete locals can soon enjoy pickleball at the St. Pete Pier downtown. Starting Friday, January 17, and running through Sunday, March 16, 2025, the sport will be available by the Splash Pad.
Games will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Saturday. The cost to play is $5 for all-day access, and equipment rentals, including pickleball paddles and balls, are also $5.
Easy Participation for Everyone
“Stop by the pier anytime during the event to join in the fun—no membership required,” (officials from St. Pete Athletic).
Staff and volunteers will be present to assist newcomers and ensure everyone has a great experience.
Participation is easy for Tampa Bay locals:
- Drop In Anytime: No reservations are necessary. Just visit during event hours to start playing.
- Equipment Provided: Rentals are available for those without their own paddles and balls, at a low cost of $5.
- All Levels Welcome: Players of all skill levels can join in the fun.
