Dill Dinkers to Launch 20 New Indoor Pickleball Clubs: Dill Dinkers, a rapidly growing pickleball chain, has announced plans to open 20 new indoor locations across North Jersey and New York’s Hudson Valley. This expansion adds to their existing five locations in Maryland and Virginia.
Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, creating an engaging game for players. The sport’s popularity in New Jersey is evident with a surge of new venues in Sussex County, Ocean County, and Moorestown.
“Everyone is talking about pickleball, and we saw a clear opportunity to fill a need for indoor clubs in a region with extreme weather conditions,” (Adam Fiala).
Rapid Growth and Nationwide Franchising
Since launching nationwide franchising in September, Dill Dinkers has secured deals for 375 locations. The chain is expanding quickly across several states, with strong interest in Texas, North Carolina, and Florida. The Fiala siblings—Adam, Janine, and Michael—are spearheading the growth in the Northeast, overseeing openings in Bergen, Rockland, and Westchester counties, and providing year-round pickleball access.
Dill Dinkers started in 2022 when Will and Denise Richards opened their first club in Columbia, Maryland. They recognized the need for indoor facilities as weather conditions changed. Their venues offer court rentals, lessons, competitive leagues, and space for special events. Collaborations with Court Reserve, JOOLA, and pros like Collin Johns ensure smooth operations.
Plans for the Future
The company aims to have 30 locations open by late 2025, with an additional 500 planned. This rapid expansion reflects the increasing popularity of pickleball across the nation. Ben Litalien, the development leader, praised the Fialas for their business acumen and commitment to creating community spaces, leveraging their experience from previous family businesses.
By introducing indoor pickleball facilities, Dill Dinkers allows players to enjoy the game regardless of weather conditions. This strategic decision ensures that fans can play through cold winters and hot summers, making pickleball more accessible than ever.
