2025 Doc Holliday Shootout Set to Elevate Pickleball Competition

The 2025 Doc Holliday Shootout (DHS) Pickleball Tournament will take place from April 4-6, 2025, at Wyomia Tyus Olympic Park in Griffin, Georgia. Registration opens on January 1, 2025, with the cost set at $60. The registration deadline is March 30, 2025.

Tournament Details

The DHS Pickleball Tournament promises an exciting weekend in the heart of Doc Holliday’s hometown. Held at Wyomia Tyus Olympic Park, this event will feature world-class facilities, including 18 courts, shaded areas, and ample space for personal tents.

A variety of food and beverages will be available from the concession stand throughout the tournament.

The event includes a practice day on April 3, where courts will be open from 8 AM to 10 PM. The competition will begin the following day with Men’s and Women’s Singles events, divided into age groups.

Doubles events will take place on April 4 and 5, and Mixed Doubles will conclude the weekend on April 6. Players should check in at least 30 minutes before their scheduled start times.

Rules and Format

The tournament will follow a round-robin format, with medal rounds potentially following depending on bracket sizes. Brackets may be combined if needed to ensure playability. Players will compete for gold, silver, and bronze medals in each bracket.

The official rules will follow the USA Pickleball 2024 Official Rule Book. All players are required to report to the Tournament Ops desk upon match assignment and follow strict time guidelines. Unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated and may result in penalties or disqualification.

Refund Policy

Players who withdraw by March 16, 2025, will receive a refund minus a $20 administrative fee. After this date, no refunds will be offered unless players have purchased tournament insurance.
