Big Dill Pickleball Tournament Raises 10K Dollars: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass & MetroWest kicked off the New Year with “The Big Dill Pickleball Tournament,” held on January 4, 2025. The event raised nearly $10,000 to support local youth mentorship programs and also celebrated the grand opening of the Pickle-It Pickleball Club in Leominster, Massachusetts.
Event Highlights
The tournament brought together 80 participants, including both experienced pickleball players and newcomers, for a spirited competition. The funds raised will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass & MetroWest, an organization dedicated to creating one-to-one mentoring relationships for young people in the area.
“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new Pickle-It Club,” said owner Valerie Housser. “There’s no better way to introduce the club to the community than by raising funds for such a wonderful cause like Big Brothers Big Sisters.”

The event was made even more special with a proclamation by Leominster Mayor Dean Mazzarella, officially recognizing January 4 as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass & MetroWest Day.
