Sarasota Welcomes Dill Dinkers SRQ: Manatee County’s newest indoor pickleball facility, Dill Dinkers SRQ, will officially open its doors on Friday, marking the franchise’s first location in Florida. The 27,000-square-foot complex, located at 500 Tallevast Road, Suite 110, Sarasota, features 11 full-sized courts and a specialized half-court for dinking drills.

The facility’s soft opening includes free play from Friday through Tuesday, January 14, for players who register on the Court Reserve app.

A Long-Awaited Opening

Dill Dinkers, originally founded in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, announced its plans to expand to Sarasota in March 2024. Despite setbacks from hurricanes and tenant delays, Heather and Tim Dull, franchise owners, succeeded in delivering their “labor of love.”

The facility will operate from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., offering memberships at $450 annually. Members pay $32 per hour for court time, while non-members are charged $64 per hour.

Pickleball’s Growing Popularity

Pickleball hailed as the fastest-growing sport in America by USA Pickleball, has seen an explosion in public and private facilities nationwide. The addition of Dill Dinkers SRQ complements existing public parks in the Sarasota area, offering players a professional indoor space to practice and play year-round.

To book a court, players must create an account and join Dill Dinkers SRQ through the Court Reserve app or website.
