PACE Pickleball Club Hosts Beginner Tournament for New Players

A beginner-friendly pickleball tournament is set to take place on March 29-30, 2025, at the PACE Pickleball Club in Katy, Texas. The event invites players with a DUPR score of 3.49 or lower to compete in a weekend of doubles matches designed for newer players. Registration, priced at $69, is open until March 23.

The tournament will feature both men’s and women’s doubles on Saturday, with mixed doubles on Sunday. Each day begins at 8:00 AM, ensuring a full schedule of action. Participants will play a minimum of three matches, with medal awards for the top teams in each bracket.

Tournament Format

The event offers a welcoming environment for players seeking their first competitive experience or aiming to establish their DUPR rating. Matches will vary by bracket size, including round-robin play and championship brackets to decide gold, silver, and bronze winners. Tournament Director ensures fair play by reviewing player ratings and may combine brackets for balance.

Snacks and drinks will be available at the on-site bar, while the Franklin X40 is the official ball of the tournament. With nine indoor courts at the PACE Pickleball Club, games will proceed rain or shine.
