Amelia Island 2025 March Smash Excitement: The Amelia Island 2025 March Smash pickleball tournament will take place from March 1 to March 2, 2025, at the Omni Amelia Island Resort in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Registration opens on January 13, with a cost of $35 for nonmembers and $30 for members.
Event Details
The tournament will feature nine divisions: Men’s and Women’s Doubles (3.0 and below, 3.5 only, 4.0 and above), and Mixed Doubles (3.0 and below, 3.5 only, 4.0 and above). Men’s and Women’s Doubles events will be held on Saturday, March 1, while Mixed Doubles will be played on Sunday, March 2. Each participant can register for up to two events.
Tournament Format
Each division will consist of a group phase and a playoff phase. Group rounds will be single games to 15, with a win-by-2 rule, and the medal rounds will be played as two out of three games to 11, also with a win-by-2 rule. Depending on the registration numbers and weather, some divisions may be rescheduled.
Registration and Refund Policy
Registration will remain open until February 24, 2025, with a $10 administrative fee for cancellations before the deadline. After the deadline, no refunds will be issued. In the event of inclement weather, efforts will be made to reschedule matches on the same day.
Venue and Parking
The tournament will be held at the Cliff Drysdale Omni Amelia Island Resort at 142 Racquet Park in Fernandina Beach. Free parking will be available at the venue.
