Largest Indoor Pickleball Hub in New Jersey Sets a New Standard

Pickleball Hub in New Jersey: A new pickleball facility, the Robbinsville Pickle House, has opened in Robbinsville, New Jersey. This facility is now the largest indoor pickleball venue in the Northeast, with 19 courts available for tournaments, leagues, and private events. The Robbinsville Pickle House highlights the sport’s rapid growth and economic impact.

Growing Popularity of Pickleball

Pickleball has become the fastest-growing sport in the US. With its rising popularity, new pickleball facilities are opening across the country to meet the growing demand. The Robbinsville Pickle House is one of the most significant recent additions.

In 2024, Dave Fried, Robbinsville Township Mayor, expressed excitement over the facility’s opening. “We are thrilled to help accommodate one of the fastest-growing sports in America, if not the world,” he said. “Thanks to the vision of Chris Vernon and his Mercer Management team, you can be sure more lasting memories are in store.”

The facility offers membership discounts and provides an essential venue for local players to enjoy the sport.

More Facilities and Investments in Pickleball

The surge in pickleball’s popularity is evident across the country. In Grand Rapids, a bar recently opened featuring three pickleball courts, offering another space for fans of the sport.

In addition, Bounce Pickleball recently purchased a large racquet and fitness complex in Pikesville. The 55,400-square-foot property will soon feature 18 to 22 pickleball courts. Principal Gil Neuman of Neuman Commercial noted that “the majority of interest was almost entirely for pickleball,” indicating the high demand for such facilities.

Impact on the Community and the Sport

The opening of the Robbinsville Pickle House is part of a larger trend in the pickleball world. The sport’s growth is not only changing the way people play but also making a significant economic impact. New facilities create jobs, attract tourism, and offer more opportunities for players of all skill levels to enjoy the game.

As more facilities open and more investments are made, pickleball’s presence will continue to expand. It seems likely that the sport will only keep growing in popularity across the US and beyond.
