The MRC Valentine’s Weekend Tournament will take place at the Midcoast Recreation Center in Rockport, Maine, from February 15 to February 16, 2025. Registration opens on January 9, 2025, and players can sign up for a fun-filled weekend of pickleball competition.
Tournament Schedule
The tournament kicks off on Saturday at noon with Mixed Doubles for 3.0 and 3.5 skill levels. This will be followed by 4.0 and 4.5 matches at 3:00 p.m.
On Sunday, the Gender Doubles competition starts at 8:00 a.m. with 3.5 Men’s and Women’s events, followed by 4.0 at 11:00 a.m. and 4.5 at 2:00 p.m. All times are subject to change based on signups.
Event Details
The tournament will be held indoors, using eight brightly lit courts. Each team will have 10 minutes for warm-up before their first game. Players can expect to play at least six games, with most divisions having seven-game round robins, followed by playoffs.
Spectators will have ample space to watch the action, and the center offers full locker rooms and an ice skating rink for the family. Players should check in with the tournament desk 20 minutes before their scheduled start time.
Registration Fees and Deadlines
Registration opens on January 9, 2025, with a $60 fee for one event. Additional events cost $10 each. A $5 non-refundable fee for Pickleball Brackets applies.
The registration deadline is February 11, 2025, and players must confirm their partners’ registration within seven days or risk being moved to the waiting list.
If a bracket fills up, players can add themselves to the waitlist without a fee. Waitlisted participants will be added to the bracket in order of earliest entry if a spot becomes available.
Refund Policy
Cancellations are accepted until January 30, 2025, with a $10 processing fee deducted. No refunds will be issued after this date.
