The highly anticipated 2025 Rocky Mountain Championships will take place from June 18 to June 22 at the Clement Park Pickleball Complex. With new tournament dates, enhanced facilities, and a fresh player experience, organizers expect this sixth annual event to surpass all expectations.

Event Details and Registration

Registration for the pickleball tournament opens on January 13, 2025, at 8:00 AM MST, with early bird pricing at $60. Prices increase to $85 on February 8, so participants are encouraged to register promptly.

The registration deadline is June 8, 2025, at 11:55 PM MST. Players can only participate in one event per day, with bracket sizes limited to ensure smooth operations.

The tournament will use DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Ratings) for skill ratings and seeding. Players are required to maintain updated DUPR accounts for accurate placement. Match results will be reported to DUPR, and skill levels may be adjusted before the tournament to reflect changes.

Tournament Format

The 2025 Championships adopt a modified round-robin format to guarantee more matches and reduced wait times:

  • Brackets with five or fewer teams: Matches are one game to 15, win by 2. Medal matches follow a best-of-three format.
  • Brackets with six to seven teams: Matches are one game to 11, win by 2, with medal matches also in a best-of-three format.
  • Brackets with eight or more teams: Teams compete in pools with one game to 15, win by 2. Top teams advance to playoff rounds leading to medal matches.

Tie-breaking rules will follow International Federation of Pickleball (IFP) guidelines, ensuring fair competition.

Additional Information

Players must adhere to the tournament’s policies:

  • Partner replacements are allowed until 6:00 PM the day before a scheduled event.
  • Referee coverage will prioritize medal matches, with non-medal matches officiated as resources allow.
  • No refunds will be issued after the May 1, 2025, cancellation deadline, unless players purchase optional insurance during registration.

Parking and Weather

Free parking is available at Clement Park and nearby Columbine High School. The tournament is an outdoor event; matches may be delayed, adjusted, or canceled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Refunds are not provided for weather-related disruptions.
