Pickleball Kingdom Expands in Pflugerville: Pickleball Kingdom will open a second facility in Pflugerville, Texas, in March 2025, expanding Austin’s pickleball offerings. The new center will feature eight full-sized courts, two half-sized courts, a retail store, and enhanced amenities to support the sport’s growing popularity.
Pickleball Kingdom’s first Pflugerville location, launched in October 2024, has become a hotspot for players of all levels. The new building, located nearby, will enhance the pickleball experience with improved facilities and programs.
“Pickleball Kingdom has the best indoor courts in Austin. Once we get the larger building open, we’ll be able to have a lot more members, which will open up the opportunity for people to have an even better experience than they do now.” – (Jared Jolly)
Expanded Facilities and Programs
The second facility will include high ceilings, a mezzanine, full locker rooms, and fenced-in courts, making it ideal for casual games and tournaments. Programs will range from beginner classes to specialized clinics and a three-month coaching program designed to help players build skills progressively.
“Our ‘Pickleball 101’ class is a free, one-hour class that we offer to the community to come learn about pickleball. We provide the paddles and the balls. All you need to do is show up in tennis shoes. We also have coaches that you can hire through our free app.” – (Jolly)
Certified coaches will lead lessons, and players can book sessions through the facility’s app or website.
New Retail and Paddle Demo Program
A 600–700 square-foot retail store will offer paddles, apparel, accessories, and pickleball-specific footwear. One standout feature is a paddle demonstration program.
“A lot of people buy their paddles online without having a chance to demo them. With us, you can pay $25 to use any of our paddles over a two-week period. That $25 will go toward the paddle purchase price, so you’re not actually spending any money. That’s going to be a benefit that a lot of people will utilize because it’s challenging to find a paddle that fits your game and what you’re trying to accomplish.” – (Jolly)
Community Focus
Jolly emphasized the social aspect of pickleball, noting that the sport fosters connections on and off the court. Quarterly leagues pair players with new partners each night to encourage friendship.
“Pickleball fosters community. That’s why it’s the fastest growing sport. It allows people to talk and get to know each other on and off the court. We just launched our quarterly leagues where players have different partners each night. Putting them together with people they don’t know in a league automatically helps them connect.” – (Jolly)
Grand Opening Event
The grand opening will occur in mid-to-late March 2025 and include free play, food trucks, kids’ activities, and giveaways such as free memberships and merchandise.
The new pickleball facility aims to be a flagship location, bringing the Pflugerville pickleball community together and setting a standard for indoor pickleball centers in the region.
