Sun City West’s Charity Pickleball: The Sun City West Pickleball Club is set to host its annual All-For-Charity Ball Drop on Monday, March 3, at 9 a.m. The event, which will feature 3,000 numbered pickleballs dropped from the sky, promises over $6,000 in prizes for lucky winners.
Event Details and Charitable Cause
The event, taking place at the Palm Ridge Pickleball Center on 13800 W. Deer Valley Drive, is part of the Fun In The Sun Pickleball Tournament.
The tournament aims to support a variety of local non-profit organizations, including the SCW Foundation-Helping Hands, PRIDES, SCW Posse, PORA, The Community Fund of SCW, Valley View Community Food Bank, and AFMA Fire Corps Charity programs.
This marks another year of fundraising for the Sun City West Pickleball Club, which, with nearly 1,800 members, has raised over $282,000 for local charities. The club’s goal this year is to raise $60,000 through the pickleball event.
How the Pickleball Drop Works
The Pickleball Ball Drop offers a unique twist on fundraising. Entry tickets are sold for $10 each or three for $25. Each ticket corresponds to a numbered pickleball, and those numbered balls will be released from the sky to land on a target-covered court at Palm Ridge Pickleball Center.
Prize-winning balls are those that land in designated drop zones, each tied to a specific prize. If a participant’s numbered ball lands in a winning spot, they will receive that prize, with the first-place prize being $1,500 in cash.
There will be over 36 guaranteed winners, with a total of more than $6,000 in prizes, including cash prizes and donations from various sponsors.
Sponsors and Donations
Several sponsors make the event possible, including Prime Wealth Advisors, the event’s title sponsor, and Saini Smiles Dentistry, which has contributed a $5,000 matching fund that will generate an additional $10,000 for the charities.
The event leaders, including Teresa Brown, the FITS charity activity leader, have expressed their gratitude for the sponsors’ support.
To further support the cause, tax-deductible cash donations can be made through the SCW Foundation. Donors can make checks payable to the Sun City West Foundation and specify “2025 PB match” in the memo line.
Event Activities
In addition to the pickleball ball drop, the three-day event will feature a pickleball tournament, food trucks, and vendor booths. Everyone is invited to join the festivities, with or without pickleball experience, to support the cause and enjoy the activities.

Ball drop tickets are available for purchase at the Helping Hands Distribution Center located at 14624 R.H. Johnson Blvd. and the PORA office at 13815 W. Camino Del Sol. Tickets can also be purchased at the event itself.
