The Amelia Island’s April Slam pickleball tournament will take place from April 26-27, 2025, at the Cliff Drysdale Omni Amelia Island Resort in Fernandina Beach, Florida. This pickleball event will feature nine competitive events for men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles teams.
Tournament Details
The tournament will include three divisions each for men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles. Divisions are divided by skill level: 3.0 and below, 3.5 only, and 4.0 and above. Players can register for a maximum of two events, with registration costing $35 for members and $40 for non-members. Each event will have an additional $10 fee.
The tournament will be played on seven outdoor hard courts at the Omni Amelia Island Resort. Events for men’s and women’s doubles will take place on Saturday, April 26, while mixed doubles events will be scheduled for Sunday, April 27. The schedule includes:
- April 26, 8:00 AM: Men’s Doubles (3.0 and Under) & Women’s Doubles (3.0 and Under)
- April 26, 12:00 PM: Men’s Doubles (3.5 Only) & Women’s Doubles (3.5 Only)
- April 26, 1:30 PM: Men’s Doubles (4.0 and Above) & Women’s Doubles (4.0 and Above)
- April 27, 8:00 AM: Mixed Doubles (3.0 and Under) & Mixed Doubles (3.5 Only)
- April 27, 12:00 PM: Mixed Doubles (4.0 and Above)
Format and Registration
The tournament will follow a two-phase format, with a group phase and a playoff phase. Group rounds will be a single game to 15, with a win-by-2 rule. Medal rounds will consist of two out of three games to 11, with a win-by-2 rule. Bracket changes may occur depending on registration numbers.
Registration opened on January 13, 2025, and ends on April 21, 2025. Any cancellations before the deadline will incur a $10 administration fee.
Venue and Parking
This pickleball tournament will take place at the Cliff Drysdale Omni Amelia Island Resort, located at 142 Racquet Park, Fernandina Beach, Florida. There is no fee for parking, and the resort’s facilities provide ample space for players and spectators.
Refund Policy
In the event of adverse weather, efforts will be made to postpone matches on the same day. Refunds are available until the registration deadline with a $10 fee. After that date, no refunds will be given.
