What-A-Pickleball Tournament: A charity pickleball tournament will take place at the Livewell Athletic Club in Lufkin, Texas, from April 4 to April 6, 2025. The tournament will kick off on Friday, April 4, with men’s and women’s singles starting at 6 p.m. after a 5 p.m. check-in.

On Saturday, April 5, women’s doubles will begin at 8 a.m., followed by men’s doubles at 12 p.m. Sunday, April 6, will feature mixed doubles starting at 1 p.m.

Format and Venue Details

Depending on participation, the tournament will follow a round-robin or double round-robin format, with each game played to 11 points, requiring a two-point lead to win.

The Livewell Athletic Club, located at 1616 Tulane Drive, will host the event. Parking is free, with additional space available at Southside Baptist Church.

Weather and Refund Policies

As an outdoor event, play is subject to weather conditions. The tournament staff will make every effort to proceed as scheduled, but no refunds, credits, or makeup days will be offered for cancellations due to weather. Refunds are available only for cancellations made by April 1, 2025.

Player Responsibility and Safety

Participants are required to register online, complete waivers, and pay fees by April 1. The tournament is non-sanctioned and unofficiated, emphasizing the need for players to adhere to the rules.

The event organizers highlight the risks of physical activity, from minor injuries to more severe incidents, and require participants to acknowledge these risks before competing.
