Paddle Battle Tournament to Support Northeast Mississippi Habitat for Humanity

The 2025 Paddle Battle Tournament, a key event for pickleball enthusiasts, will be held from March 21 to March 23 at the Dot Cooper Kelly City Pickleball Complex in Tupelo, Mississippi. This annual tournament benefits Northeast Mississippi Habitat for Humanity, with all proceeds going to support the organization’s charitable work.

Tournament Details and Registration

The tournament is set to feature men’s and women’s singles, gender doubles, and mixed doubles. Registration is open until March 20, 2025, with a registration fee of $55.

Participants should register before March 17 to avoid an increase to $65. A non-refundable service fee of $5 for one event or $10 for two or more events will also be applied.

Event organizers, Albine Bennett and Ashton Chinnambeti, expect a competitive atmosphere with skill and age divisions, ranging from beginner to advanced levels.

Skill brackets will include categories like 2.0-3.0, 3.0-3.5, 3.5-4.0, and 4.5+. Age brackets will be divided into 12-34, 35-59, and 60+, with a minimum of five teams required for each major division.

Exciting Amenities and Events

In addition to the pickleball matches, participants can enjoy complimentary water, snacks, and a special breakfast treat—Scarlet’s Donuts—on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Athletico Physical Therapy will also be on-site, offering support for players. Spectators can bring lawn chairs, as outdoor seating will not be provided.

The tournament will use Franklin X-40 outdoor balls, and raffle prizes and giveaways will be available, adding excitement for players and attendees.

Several local hotels offer discounted rates for those traveling to Tupelo. For example, Tru By Hilton Tupelo has rooms starting at $119 per night, with booking deadlines varying by hotel.

A Community-Focused Event

This year’s Paddle Battle Tournament aims to bring together the local community in support of a great cause. While the competition will showcase top pickleball talent, participants and visitors can also enjoy local events such as the Bud and Burgers festival on Friday, March 21, at Fairpark.

The pickleball tournament provides a chance for pickleball players to test their skills while helping to support Habitat for Humanity’s mission to build homes for those in need.

Looking Ahead

The Paddle Battle Tournament continues to grow as an important event for pickleball fans and a charitable fundraiser for Northeast Mississippi Habitat for Humanity.

With anticipated excitement and a strong turnout, the event highlights the power of sports in bringing communities together for meaningful causes.
