PickleRage Set to Revolutionize Pickleball: A new indoor pickleball facility is set to open in Mobile, Alabama, in response to the growing popularity of the sport across the country. PickleRage, located at the Regency Square Shopping Center on University Boulevard, is currently under construction with plans for a tentative opening in May.
Modern Facilities for All Skill Levels
PickleRage will feature 12 indoor CushionX courts, designed for all ages and skill levels. The facility will include a pro shop, lounge, party room, locker rooms, showers, and more.
The CushionX courts are known for their durability and comfort, with a focus on knee support. These courts are the same type used in the U.S. Open, ensuring players have access to professional-grade surfaces.
“This is a great location. It’s convenient to the college, close to Midtown, and near West Mobile,” said Jonathan Keith, Co-Owner of PickleRage. The facility’s location is expected to draw in a wide range of players from across the city and beyond.
Community Impact
The facility is not just for experienced players; it’s also designed to attract beginners and families. “This is a great opportunity for not only 2.0 players but up to 4.0 and 5.0 players,” said Tyler, one of the employees. “It’s going to give younger people somewhere to come play,” added James, another employee.
The Keiths believe PickleRage will provide a much-needed recreational space in Mobile. “There’s such a need for more things to do in Mobile,” said Angie Howard, Co-Owner. With the unpredictable weather in the area, the indoor facility ensures that pickleball enthusiasts can play year-round, no matter the conditions.
Innovative Features for Enhanced Play
For players who want a competitive edge, the facility will feature AI-generated cameras that provide instant replay on calls. The system will help resolve disputes and show highlight reels during games.
Additionally, local professional pickleball players will offer lessons for all skill levels, making the facility an ideal place for new players and seasoned competitors.
“We’re excited to provide a place where everyone, from beginners to advanced players, can enjoy the game,” said Jonathan Keith. The facility also offers a unique court reservation system, allowing players to book courts based on their skill level for a more enjoyable experience.
