The 1st Annual Serving Hope Pickleball Tournament will take place on March 15 at Caldwell Park in Statesville. Event Details

Player check-in will start at 8 a.m., with matches scheduled throughout the day. The tournament will feature men’s and women’s doubles divisions, with skill brackets for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players. Registration costs $40 per player, which includes lunch provided by G4G.

To enhance the event, organizers are hosting an online silent auction and a split-the-pot drawing. Spectators can attend for free, and community support is encouraged.

Community Partnerships

The Statesville Police Department will assist by providing security, parking control, and distributing resource materials at the event. Tournament director Matt Murdock expressed his excitement, saying,

“I am delighted to assist these organizations who are providing life-changing support services to the children and families in our community that need our support most.” – (Murdock)

Significance of the Event

Cory Knight, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club, highlighted the importance of partnerships with G4G Ministries and Foundation of Hope Ministries in delivering valuable services to the community. The tournament builds on the success of the Community Fun Day, which attracted over 1,000 attendees last summer.

“These partners work with the Club on several initiatives and events throughout the year to provide direct services to our parents, children, and the greater community.” – (Cory Knight)

As the planning committee moves forward, they aim to create a well-organized event that fosters fun and fellowship while benefiting local families.
