A Strong Background in Racquet Sports
Romero, a former college tennis player, has transitioned to pickleball after spending 13 years at the Ocean Reef Club, where he was the director of racquet sports.

Pickleball is also making a significant economic impact, with numerous new facilities opening across the US. One such facility, named Picklr, recently held its opening ceremony, attended by former professional footballer Mark Tauscher.
Tony Vandecastle, the Picklr club coordinator, emphasized the sport’s accessibility, saying,
“If you’re just starting out, we’ll have something for you. The hand-eye coordination you get from playing baseball, you get from playing basketball, football — it comes really in handy with this kind of thing.
