The tournament will raise money to support the mental health of first responders in Kosciusko County, with 100% of the profits going directly to them. Registration opens on February 5, 2025, with a fee of $45, which increases to $50 on May 17.
Tournament Details
This charity pickelball event will feature skill-level divisions for 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0+ players. The competition will follow a round-robin format, with one game to 11 points, win by 2, in the round-robin stage, and one game to 15 points, win by 2, in the playoff round. The top four teams from each bracket will advance to the playoffs, with tie-breakers determined by head-to-head play and total points scored.
Registration and Perks
Registration includes a swag bag, a tournament T-shirt, free water and snacks, and one free raffle ticket. There will also be a misting tent, shaded seating, and food vendors, including a Kona Ice truck. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the event. Activities will include a K9 demo, art activities, and first responder-themed events, with several emergency vehicles available for public viewing.
Additional Features
The tournament will be held outdoors on eight courts, including four permanent courts. If inclement weather occurs, the event will be moved to the Gordon Student Rec. Center at Grace College. Participants and spectators can also enjoy the park’s splash pad, beach area, and greenway trail.
