“Picklin’ for Profit” Tournament Serves Up Support for Catawba County Schools

The Education Foundation for Catawba County Schools is hosting the Picklin’ for Profit pickleball tournament on February 8, 2025, at the Hickory Metro Convention Center. The event aims to raise funds for local education initiatives while bringing together pickleball enthusiasts for a day of competition and community support.

“Picklin’ for Profit” is more than just a sports event—it is a charity initiative designed to benefit Catawba County Schools through the Education Foundation. Players of all skill levels are encouraged to participate, with proceeds supporting educational programs and resources for students and teachers.

The event has gained strong local backing, with Thrive Counseling and Wellness serving as the title sponsor. Other sponsors include Truist, Nenuity, and Waterfront, all contributing to the tournament’s success.
