Pickleball enthusiasts in West County have something to look forward to in 2025. Paddle Up Pickleball Club, currently based in Lake Saint Louis, is set to open a second location at The District in Chesterfield. The Staenberg Group (TSG) announced the expansion, which will bring a 23,000-square-foot indoor pickleball facility to the area.
The new venue will be located on the east side of The District and will offer indoor pickleball courts, equipment rentals, professional coaching, and organized leagues and tournaments. According to TSG president Michael Staenberg, the addition aligns with The District’s mission of providing a dynamic space for the community to gather and stay active.

Pickleball’s Growth in West County
Paddle Up’s expansion is part of a broader trend of pickleball development in the area. Missouri Pickleball Club, based in Fenton, is preparing to open a second location in Ellisville at the former Shop n Save on Manchester Road.
Social media updates in December showed that renovations are already underway, with the interior being cleared for construction.
Additionally, a new multi-sport complex was recently approved in Chesterfield, which will feature dedicated pickleball courts alongside other athletic facilities. These developments highlight the sport’s increasing popularity and the demand for more courts in the region.
The District’s Expanding Amenities
The new Paddle Up facility will join a range of attractions at The District, a growing entertainment hub in Chesterfield. Other amenities include The Hub STL, a 40,000-square-foot outdoor venue for yard games and live music, as well as The Factory, Main Event, and Topgolf.
The addition of an indoor pickleball club is expected to enhance The District’s reputation as a go-to destination for sports and recreation.
Future of Pickleball in the Region
With multiple new pickleball venues on the horizon, the sport’s growth in West County shows no signs of slowing down.
Indoor facilities like Paddle Up’s new location will allow players to enjoy the game year-round, fostering a stronger community and increasing opportunities for organized competition.
