Tampa’s Money Ball Night Tournament Brings Competitive Play and Prizes

Tampa’s Money Ball Night Tournament: On Friday, February 28, 2025, the HCC Tennis Center in Tampa, Florida, will host a co-ed Money Ball Night tournament for advanced pickleball players. The event, running from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, will feature a competitive format with exciting cash prizes.

Tournament Format

The Money Ball Night tournament is open to advanced players with a 4.5 rating or higher. Teams can be male/male, female/female, or mixed, and each doubles team will compete in 5 round-robin rounds.

Matches are played to 11 points, switching sides at 6. After the round-robin rounds, the top 8 teams based on game points will advance to an 8-team single-elimination playoff bracket. The finals will be played to 15 points.

Prize money is based on entry fees, with 30% of all fees going directly to the prize pool. The amount of prize money depends on the number of teams registered. For example, 16 teams will create a total prize pool of $480, with $320 for first place and $160 for second place.

Registration Details

Registration opens on February 10, 2025, at 8:00 AM EST and closes on February 23, 2025, at 8:00 AM EST. The entry fee is $50 per person, with an additional $5 service fee for each event.

Teams must pay the full $100 for entry. The deadline to request a refund is February 23, 2025, at 11:59 PM. No refunds will be issued after that time.

Food and Refreshments

Food and drinks will be provided for all participants, including sandwiches, water, Gatorade, and snacks.

The pickleball tournament will take place at the HCC Tennis Center, located at 3901 West Tampa Bay Boulevard, Tampa, FL, 33614. Parking is free for all participants and spectators.
