The second annual Komodo Open 2025 will take place from May 7 to May 11, 2025, at the Lincoln Park Pickleball Complex in Grand Junction, Colorado. This exciting five-day event will feature a variety of pickleball tournaments for players of all ages and skill levels, including senior and junior divisions.
Event Overview and Registration
The tournament is expected to build on the success of last year’s event, which saw 265 players and nearly 800 games played.
With expanded brackets for senior and junior players, the 2025 Komodo Open aims to attract even more participants. Registration is open now until May 3, 2025, with an early registration fee of $50, which increases to $60 after March 26, 2025.
Tournament Format and Divisions
The competition will consist of pool play followed by elimination rounds. Players will compete in singles, mixed doubles, and gendered doubles, with divisions ranging from beginner (3.0) to professional (5.0+).
Age-based brackets for players aged 50+ and under 16 will also be offered. Winners in all regular divisions will receive cash prizes, with a total payout of over $15,000. Junior division winners will receive Komodo paddles, bags, and other gear.
Support for Little Dragons Charity
A special feature this year is the involvement of Little Dragons 501(c)3, a non-profit organization dedicated to making pickleball accessible to children.
All proceeds from the tournament will go towards supporting their mission, which includes running camps, developing curriculum, and providing opportunities for young athletes to get involved in the sport.
