The Missouri Winter Games are set to return from March 7-9, 2025, at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, Missouri. The indoor tournament will feature round-robin brackets across multiple skill levels and age groups, ensuring competitive play for all participants.
Tournament Details and Registration
The pickleball event will take place on 14 indoor courts with temporary nets and a tennis surface. The official ball for the tournament is the Franklin X-40. Free parking and restroom facilities will be available on-site.
Participants can register for $60, which covers all events they choose to enter. Registration includes a guaranteed event shirt for those who sign up by February 28, 2025. The final deadline to register is March 5 at 8:00 a.m. Seniors (50+) who are USSP members can receive a $10 discount, and junior brackets are available at half price.
Event Schedule and Brackets
- Friday, March 7 (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.): Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Coed Juniors Singles (ages 8-12)
- Friday, March 7 (5 p.m. – 8 p.m.): Open Play and Practice ($5 per person, $10 for non-tournament players)
- Saturday, March 8 (8 a.m. – 8 p.m.): Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Senior Scrambles
- Sunday, March 9 (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.): Mixed Doubles, Coed Senior Scramble, Coed Juniors Scramble (ages 8-12)
Brackets will be divided by age and skill level, with planned age divisions including 8-49, 50+, 60+, 65+, 70+ (scramble), and 80+ (scramble). Skill levels range from beginner to expert (under 2.99 up to 5.0+). Players can opt to compete in younger age divisions or higher skill levels. DUPR ratings will be used for primary placement, and participants must link their DUPR and Pickleball.com accounts.
Competitive Format and Awards
All brackets will follow a round-robin format, with a minimum of four games per event. Some brackets may include a playoff round based on registration numbers. Brackets typically require at least five teams; if fewer teams register, brackets may be merged with similar divisions at the tournament director’s discretion.
Medals will be awarded based on final standings in merged events, with all 50+ brackets being USSP-certified. Specific start times for each bracket will be announced after registration closes, and matches will begin every 2-3 hours.
