On February 14, 2025, Hudson Valley Pickleball & Golf officially opened its doors at 1895 South Road in the South Hills Plaza, transforming the former Christmas Tree Shops building into a state-of-the-art pickleball venue.

The project first began construction in March 2024, led by Hudson Valley locals Brian Vigorita, Glen Beram, and Russel Tigges. Their goal was to create a dedicated indoor space where pickleball players of all skill levels could practice, compete, and connect with others in the community.
Leading up to the opening, the founders expressed their excitement on social media. In early January 2025, they wrote,

The facility featured 10 indoor pickleball courts, designed to accommodate beginners, intermediate players, and competitive athletes. The courts were constructed using herculean granulate rubber flooring, a material specifically chosen to reduce stress on joints while ensuring excellent traction, comfort, and safety.
Vigorita emphasized that the facility would offer tournaments, clinics, and social mixers throughout the year, allowing players to hone their skills and meet others who share their passion for the sport.
A Growing Pickleball Community
Hudson Valley Pickleball & Golf aimed to be more than just a place to play—it was designed to be a hub for the pickleball community. With indoor courts available year-round, players no longer had to worry about weather conditions affecting their games.
Open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., the facility welcomed players of all ages and abilities, ensuring that everyone had a chance to experience the excitement of pickleball.
