Pickleball at Lake Marion Community Center: Lake Marion Community Center is hosting an Active Skill Training class for pickleball players from February 2 to February 23, 2025. The classes will take place every Sunday from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM, aimed at improving skills for tournament, league, or ladder play.
Class Details and Focus
The training is designed for adults with a skill level of 3.5 or greater. Participants should be fit and ready for a rigorous workout. The class will focus on both the slow and fast aspects of pickleball, with a significant emphasis on practicing dinks, third shot drops, volleys, drives, serves, and service returns. Occasionally, lobs will also be included in the practice sessions.
The classes will be monitored by instructor Karl Van Neste, who will provide frequent tips to help participants enhance their skills. The last 15 minutes of each class will be dedicated to playing, allowing participants to put the skills they have learned into practice.
