New Mexico pickleball players can mark their calendars for the Albuquerque Amateur Open on May 3-4, 2025. The event will take place at the Manzano Mesa Pickleball Courts, featuring a round-robin format followed by brackets, with each player guaranteed six or more games.
Registration Details
Early bird registration is now open, allowing players to save $10 by using the coupon code “Manzano10.” This offer is available until April 3 at 8 AM or until the first 100 players complete their registration.
Tournament Format and Prizes
The tournament will feature men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles competitions, with custom medals and awards for winners.
Additionally, the 2025 event will introduce an OPEN Cash Prize division, offering $2,000 in cash prizes for each category. This division is capped at 14 teams, making it an exciting opportunity for high-level players.
Players will use Franklin X40 balls, and scores will auto-post to the DUPR system. The schedule includes doubles matches on Saturday and mixed and singles matches on Sunday.
New Rewards Program
A new feature called PicklePerks has been launched, allowing players to earn rewards with every event registration and victory during tournament play. These earnings can be used to purchase APA apparel or applied towards future events.
