Local pickleball players showcased their skills at the 3rd Shot Pickleball Tournament in Evansville on February 15-16. With 138 participants competing across eight courts, the event featured men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles divisions ranging from 3.0 to 5.0, as well as a 50+ category. Several players advanced to higher levels, formed new partnerships, or participated in their first tournament.
Competitive Matches and Medal Winners
The tournament saw intense competition, with several local players securing top finishes. In the 4.5 Men’s Doubles category, Landon Wilson and Cory York claimed the gold medal. Brigette Thompson had a strong showing, winning gold in 3.5 Women’s Doubles with Kenzie Wilson and 3.5 Mixed Doubles 50+ with Jason Jones.
Vickie Gamble and Cannon Cornelius earned a silver medal in the 3.5 Mixed Doubles division, while Jackson Crawford and Ricky Baker took home bronze in 4.0 Men’s Doubles. Additionally, Kenzie Wilson and Landon Wilson finished fourth in 4.0 Mixed Doubles.
