Cape Coral Pickleball Landmark Transformed: Cape Coral’s premier tennis and pickleball facility will disclose its new identity on February 24. The rebranding event will take place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and no reservations are required for attendees. The highlight of the day will be the ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon.
Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Director Joe Petrella shared the facility’s growth and popularity, saying,
“To date, we have sold over 2,600 memberships in the venue’s pre-opening phase. The overwhelming interest demonstrates the excitement and demand for a facility of this caliber.” – (Joe Petrella said in a release)
Facility Features and Upcoming Events
The Courts, Cape Coral, includes 32 pickleball courts and 12 tennis courts, making it one of the region’s largest racquet sports venues. The facility is expected to host major tournaments, including the Carvana PPA Tour Veolia Cape Coral Open from March 5 to 9.
With over 500 daily visitors and revenue surpassing $238,500, District 5 Councilmember Joseph Kilraine emphasized its growing impact, stating,
“The Lake Kennedy Racquet Center facility has quickly become a hub for racquet sports in our great city of Cape Coral. Being rebranded today as ‘The Courts,’ it has grown to 2,671 members with 1,658 memberships with 4,092 individuals having played on the courts to date.” – (Joseph Kilraine)

The rebranding process, approved by the Cape Coral City Council in January, was finalized this month. The new branding and logo, featuring vibrant Florida-inspired colors, were created by Sports Facilities Companies’ marketing team.
