Bend Pickleball Club Announces 2025 Pacific Northwest Classic Tournament

Bend Pickleball Club has officially opened registration for the highly anticipated 2025 Pacific Northwest Classic (PNC), set to take place from July 23-27, 2025, at Pine Nursery Park in Bend, Oregon. The annual tournament, sponsored by Pickleball Zone, will bring players from across the country to compete in an exciting new format.

New Tournament Format for 2025

This year’s PNC will feature a fresh round-robin format for all skill levels from 3.0 to 5.0. Unlike previous tournaments, the 2025 edition will be an all-doubles round-robin event, ensuring that every participant will play at least five games.

The change to this format was made in response to player feedback, with organizers aiming to offer more opportunities for on-court action. Kirk Foster, PNC Tournament Director, shared his enthusiasm for the new format:

“We are excited to bring a fresh new format to this year’s tournament. Players have told us this is what they want and Bend Pickleball Club listened. PNC 2025 will give participants more time on the courts and the fast-paced format will be a dynamic experience for players and spectators.” – (Kirk Foster)

Fundraising for New Courts

Looking ahead, Bend Pickleball Club is also focusing on expanding its facilities. The club is fundraising to build eight new, lighted pickleball courts at Pine Nursery Park, with a goal of raising $550,000 by June 1, 2025.

“It’s no secret that Central Oregon’s pickleball community is continuing to grow.” – (Kirk Foster)

These courts are expected to be completed by 2026, further enhancing the tournament experience and providing more space for the growing pickleball community in Central Oregon.

“As a club, our goal is to support that enthusiasm by making sure players have a place to enjoy the sport they love. These new courts would help to accomplish that goal and would have a very big added benefit of allowing us to grow the PNC tournament for years to come. This expansion is exciting for players, for the tournament, and for our tournament’s sponsors.” – (Kirk Foster)

Support and Sponsors

The 2025 PNC is set to feature several sponsors, including Horizon Broadcasting Group, Selkirk, Mike’s Fence Center, Pacific Source, Jigsaw Health, and Paulson-Coletti Trial Attorneys. Pickleball Zone returns as the tournament’s Title Sponsor, a role the Bend-based company has held for several PNC events.

Bend Pickleball Club welcomes donations to help fund the new courts. Contributions are tax-deductible and can be made through the club’s official website,
