From Snow to Smashes! Pickle in the Snowy Peaks Tournament a Big Success

Pickle in the Snowy Peaks Tournament: The third-annual Pickle in the Snowy Peaks tournament took place on Feb. 15-16 at the Breckenridge Recreation Center, drawing over 90 players. Despite snowy conditions, participants arrived safely to compete in the event, which raised over $15,000 for Smart Bellies, a local nonprofit organization.

Players Brave Snow for Competition

The tournament, known for its winter setting, lived up to its name as players navigated snow-covered roads to reach the courts. Once inside, they enjoyed two days of competitive matches in a warm and welcoming environment. The event brought together pickleball enthusiasts of all skill levels.

Supporting a Worthy Cause

As in previous years, the tournament partnered with Smart Bellies, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting food insecurity in the community. The $15,000 raised will support the organization’s mission to provide meals to children in need.

Looking Ahead

The success of this year’s event highlights the strong community support for both pickleball and charitable causes. Organizers hope to continue growing the tournament in future years while making a meaningful impact.
