The Crazy Ape Challenge will take place at Pickle Point in Carrollton on March 1-2, 2025. This tournament features a set partner round-robin format with registration fees ranging from $50 to $80 per player. Tournament director Robby Robertson will oversee the event.
Tournament Details
Participants are guaranteed at least four games, and everyone will advance to the playoffs. The event will use yellow Franklin X40 balls.
A “Money Ball” prize of $2,000 will be awarded to the first-place team, with $500 for second place, provided there are at least 20 teams. The Money Ball is limited to players with a combined DUPR of 9.5, excluding any 5.0 players.
Scoring and Rules
The tournament will follow traditional scoring rules. Pool play games will be played to 15 points, with a win by 2 and a cap at 21. Bracket play games will also go to 15 points, but with a cap at 18. In gold and silver matches, teams will play best 2 out of 3 games to 11, winning by 2 and capping at 15.
Participants must sign up in the division of their highest-rated player and ensure they understand how DUPR ratings work. UPA paddle rules apply, so players should verify that their paddles are approved.
