The Picklr in Cheyenne hosted the “I Heart Pickleball Tournament” on Feb. 7 and 8, drawing 114 players to support local student athletics. The event raised $1,100 through donations from participants and spectators, benefiting youth pickleball programs at Carey Middle School and East/Central High School.
Supporting Youth Pickleball
A portion of the funds was used to buy a portable net, paddles, and balls for Carey Middle School. The remaining $900 will support the East/Central High School pickleball club, benefiting 16 students from eighth to 12th grade. The funds will help them hone their skills and prepare for competitions against other regional youth teams.
A Fun and Competitive Event
The tournament brought together players of all skill levels for a fun and competitive experience while making a positive impact on the community.
