US Senior Championship Highlights: The 2025 US Senior Pickleball North American Championships concluded on February 23, 2025, after a thrilling week of competition at Pictona at Holly Hill in Holly Hill, Florida. The pickleball event, held from February 16 to February 23, 2025, brought together top senior pickleball players from across North America.

With fierce competition across men’s, women’s, and mixed categories, the tournament highlighted exceptional skill, endurance, and sportsmanship.

Men’s Doubles Champions Take Center Stage

The men’s doubles event featured competitive matchups in multiple age and skill divisions. In the Legends 65 plus 3.0 and 3.5 bracket, Bill McIntosh and Lance Metcalfe claimed the championship, while Carl Ezell and David Douglas dominated the 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0 level.

The Legends 70 plus 3.0 and 3.5 division saw Mynders Glover and Gerald Goebel emerge victorious, while Ralph Smith and Bernie Wolfe secured the 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0 title. Gabriel Wong and Art Worley showcased their experience to win in the Legends 75 plus and 80 plus category.

Among the younger senior players, Doug Flach and Michael Sliwa took home the Masters 50 plus 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0 title. Keith Haske and Toby Schwartz fought hard to secure the Masters 50 plus and 55 plus 3.0 and 3.5 championship, while Larry Mackey and George Gamboa captured gold in the Masters 55 plus 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0 division. Stephen Hoag and Eduardo Vieira finished on top in the Masters 60 plus category.

Men’s Singles Champions Deliver Standout Performances

The men’s singles competition saw dominant performances across all age brackets. Michael Cosgrove won the Legends 65 plus 3.0 title, while Dee Parrish emerged victorious in the 3.5 division. Jorge Luna secured the 4.0 championship, and David Douglas added another title to his name in the 4.5 and 5.0 bracket.

In the Legends 70 plus 3.0 and 3.5 category, Robert Barbeito took home the championship, while Steve Kelso secured the 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0 title. Larry Ledbetter claimed victory in the Legends 75 plus 3.0 division, and Gabriel Wong dominated the 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0 levels.

Among the Masters divisions, Gilles Lagueux won in the Masters 50 plus and 55 plus 3.0 and 3.5 category, while Doug Flach captured gold in the 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0 division. Kevin Towle won the Masters 60 plus 3.0 and 3.5 title, while Joel Trammell finished on top in the 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0 category.

Women’s Doubles Champions Dominate Their Divisions

In Legends 65 plus women’s doubles, Sheri Jessell and Sherry Zimet secured the title, while Lulie Arnold and Linda Bruder claimed the Legends 70 plus championship. The Legends 75 plus division was won by Margaret Daniels and C Susan Crossland.

In the Masters divisions, Margaret Martens and Kara Neal captured the Masters 50 plus and 55 plus, 3.0 and 3.5 title, while Mac Moody and Brooke Holt dominated the 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0 category. Ingrid Christman and Mary Burns claimed gold in the Masters 60 plus bracket.

Women’s Singles Champions Showcase Their Skills

In the women’s singles event, Jody Durket won the Legends 65 plus 3.0 title, while Kathy Mason emerged victorious in the 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0 brackets. Tanya Djanegara claimed the Legends 70 plus championship, while Margaret Daniels took the Legends 75 plus title. Carolyn Ryan secured gold in the Legends 80 plus division.

Among the Masters divisions, Jen Edwards captured the Masters 50 plus, 55 plus, and 60 plus, 3.0 and 3.5 title, while Kami McGuire dominated the 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0 category.

Mixed Doubles Champions Show Great Teamwork

In the Legends 75 plus mixed doubles division, Linda Bruder and Art Worley delivered an impressive performance to win the championship.
